For example, a good goal would be to set your thermostat between 66 to 68 degrees during the day.

Let there be light! Although it is hard to imagine a time when central heating systems were not a staple in every home, people still managed to get through life with out a thermostat being set to 78 degrees. • When it comes to air filters, both in electronic air cleaners and within either the furnace or fan coil, make sure that the filters are properly replaced or cleaned as needed. Using and reusing a dirty air filter with severely damage your heating and cooling system. If your system allows a reusable filter, once it is cleaned it should be completely dry before reinsertion. If you are using a "clean air cleaner," the pre-filter and collection cells should be cleaned or replaced two to three times a year, at the very least.

• In order to prevent mildew issues within your home, simply use a few ventilation tricks. Running a dehumidifier helps greatly. Also, airing spaces in the home such as bathroom closets and cabinets, coupled with keeping showers and tubs free of soap scum will prevent mildew from forming. It is typical for many homes to come equipped with ventilating fans in the kitchen and bathrooms. This is a great way to remove contaminated air in your home, so use them!

Above is the new air handler. The unit now has an insulated drain line. We increased the return duct. The outside of the air handler is insulated. This system also has the line set replaced connecting the inside and outside unit.

Above is our new Donovan Ecologic Air Handler. This system comes standard with a 10 year parts and labor warranty. We installed a new drain pan for the system. We also insulated the drain line and installed a water safety device. The device sitting on top of the air handler is a Magnehelic. This tells us if the system has to high of a static pressure.

Above is our new Donovan Ecologic condenser. This system come standard with a 10 year parts and labor warranty. The outdoor coil is coated, the accumulator is coated, and we install a Zinc anode. All of these steps help inhibit corrosion on the system
